Q&A With Joseph 'J Pash' Patrick

Joseph has a passion for music production and the upcoming group session is sure to be a blast! Check out this interview and get to know Joseph.

Q:How long have you been teaching with crescendo?

A: I just started this year.

Q: What is your favorite genre of music to play or listen to?

A: Top three are Jazz, Funk, Gospel. I can't choose one.

Q: How did you start playing your instrument?

A: Followed in the footsteps of my sister in piano and drums. Then branched out to guitar and bass. Hence the music production became a HUGE passion.

Q: Beyond musical skill, what do you hope your students learn from you?

A: To go after what they love to do and make it a lifestyle.

Q: What advice would you give a parent who is trying to decide if they should invest in their child’s musical education?

A: Discipline is needed to become great at anything. Music will not only teach your son/daughter the skill set of an instrument, but actually set them up to treat other aspects of their life with discipline, communication and expression that no other path can teach.

Q: Tell us about some of your interests beyond teaching music.

A: Film making, photography and graphic design. I love the ability to visually impact people from the display of someone's story. The goal in any of the art forms I pursue and attain is another outlet to improve the lives of others. As long as I'm still breathing my purpose isn't over.

Joseph’s online music production course will run March 8th - April 16th
