Q & A With Madison Minisee
Meet Madison! She will be teaching one of our Ukulele classes starting March 8th. She answered some questions about her musical journey and her teaching philosophy. Take a look!
Q: How long have you been teaching with crescendo?
A: I’ve been teaching with Crescendo for three years now. These past three years I’ve had a blast being able to watch the kid’s love of music grow.
Q: What is your favorite genre of music to play or listen to?
A: Wow, this is a hard question because I genuinely just LOVE all music. Every genre just brings something different to the table.
Q: How did you start playing your instrument?
A: I come from a very musical family so I’ve played multiple instruments starting from a very young age, which includes; cello, Ukulele, Piano, & a little guitar. Along with those I also sing.
Q: Beyond musical skill, what do you hope your students learn from you?
A: I hope that my students learn that they are capable of anything they set their mind to and that they walk away from my class feeling confident, not just in music but in life.
Q: What advice would you give a parent who is trying to decide if they should invest in their child’s musical education?
A: Music has changed my life. It grounded me as a child and gave me something to work towards. Investing in your child’s musical education is an opportunity to give them the keys to success. Overall I believe music has the power to illuminate, enrich, and educate.
Q: Tell us about some of your interests beyond teaching music.
A: I am absolutely in love with the arts, when I’m not doing music, usually, I am doing something creative, making clothes for my company or doing acting auditions.
